Pollock have a mild, delicate taste with white flesh, large flakes, a slightly coarse texture and a low oil content. They have a similar but somewhat milder flavour as haddock or cod.
They are a good source of lean protein, low in saturated fat, and contain vitamin B12, phosphorous, and selenium.
