Much of hake is caught in the UK but it’s more popular in Spain and Portugal.
It’s long round body is great for cutting into steaks or loin supremes. The flesh is soft but firms up when cooked.
Hake is considered a great source of potassium and phosphorus. It’s also low in fat, a source of high-value protein and contains lots of other vitamins and minerals.
